  <\/span>  Dehydration can turn off your body’s virus removal mechanism by lowering the level of the watery layer in your mucous so the top layer comes down and flattens the cilia preventing them from moving.<\/span><\/p>\n

  Hydration helps turn on your body’s virus removal helping your cilia move and float the top sticky layer with the virus particles stuck to it up to the top of your throat where they are swallowed and then dissolved in your stomach acid. <\/span><\/p>\n

  For myself I lift my water bottle to my lips and drink until it feels right.<\/span><\/p>\n

  When I started I tried to drink a certain amount of water each time and often found myself forcing the last amount of water. Now I listen to my body and concentrate on scheduling water 3 times a day to replace water as my body loses water during the day.<\/span><\/p>\n

  If I am doing activities where I\u2019m sweating I may drink water before, during and afterwards to replace the water being lost to sweat. To make sure water is available to me I take a water bottle with me during those activities.<\/p>\n
